Empty folder to a playable sorter: eight bins, live bills from Congress.gov with a 40-bill sample fallback, drag and drop, win, lose and restart. A headless test played full rounds before anyone opened a browser.
Congress files thousands of bills a session. Here each one floats out of the Capitol dome on a balloon, one every 5 seconds, and you drop it in the bin for its policy area before it lands.
Every bill has exactly one policy area
Analysts at the Congressional Research Service read each bill and file it under one of 32 policy areas. Hopper uses 8 of them. Every card says what its bill would do. The crate only blushes its bin's colour near the ground, so reading is the faster way.
You don't choose the bill. You choose the bin.
The Capitol launches the next bill every 5 seconds. Four steps, then the details.
Read the card
Each bill's card shows its title and one plain line about what it would do. The same line sits in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Drag it to a bin
Drop the crate on the bin for its policy area. Green means right. Red is a strike, and the right bin glows gold so you learn it.
Beat the colour
Near the ground the crate blushes its bin's colour. Reading is faster, and the end card counts how often you sorted before the hint.
Open your docket
25 right finishes the dome; 3 strikes in one bin is gridlock. Then open every bill you handled to see what it would do and how far it has gotten.

Hopper. The Mall becomes a floating island, the Capitol launches bills and builds its dome one ring per right answer, every sound is synthesized in code, and this page.
Real bills: 120 from Congress.gov, 15 per bin, with the 118th Congress as backup. The HUD moved into bars so nothing covers a bill. Pause. Every card now says what its bill would do, the colour hint arrives late, and Your Docket explains every bill after the round.
